Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our expanding Oil & Gas Operations APAC (West) team in Perth.
This is a 9-month contract position with potential to be extended, due to the recently securing several large projects with existing clients, which includes sustainability projects such as CCS.
Wood's "Operations" APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Southeast Asia.
Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our expanding Oil & Gas Operations in Perth You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia.
Ideally you will be suitably qualified engineer` from a recognized institution or tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 5+ years of proven experience in Commissioning in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia.
In addition, you will have: A demonstrated commitment to safety  Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbal  Previous experience in a role of construction and commissioning engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined team Strong technical expertise in piping, vessels and rotating equipment installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programs Ability to maintain composure under pressure, while delivering within a challenging and complex environment  A "solutions mindset" embracing innovation and an agile approach to project delivery and team leadership It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.

What will set you apart is your proven experience in a similar role as a Commissioning Engineer working within a Brownfield EPC or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas / LNG industry.
