MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER/FITTER
Due to the continued success and growth of the business, we are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembler/Fitter to join a busy, friendly team within our Mechanical Assembly Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work within the Company's busy Machine Shop where various mechanical fitting and assembly take place, and machined parts are manufactured and assembled.
Primary responsibilties:Installation of bespoke hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems to our wide range of furnaces and ovens.Reading of engineering drawings and a basic piping schematic.Work on your own initiative to perform mechanical fitting tasks.Key skills and qualifications:Good skill base in mechanical fitting.Previous experience within an industrial background.Have a minimum of C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Fitting.The ability to read and understand Mechanical Drawings.Previous machining processes and skill in performing machining operations such as drilling, milling, and turning would be a distinct advantage but not essential.What we have to offerSalary dependent on experience and qualifications.37.50 Hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00 – 4.45 pm, Friday 8.00 - 12.30 pm (Early finish on a Friday).Company Incentive Scheme.Generous salary sacrifice pension plan with 7.5% Employer contributions and with 8 x salary death in service policy.24 days annual leave rising to 27 after 3 years - plus statutory days.Westfield Health Scheme membership and Hospital Treatment Plan.Cycle to Work salary sacrifice scheme – enjoy the stunning beauty of the surrounding area.Support with continuous professional development.Sports & Social events.Free on-site parking.Access to employee assistance programme to help with life's challenges.A Free Lunch every week.Free fresh fruit.Due to the location, you will ideally need your own transport, however, we are situated next to Hope train station and on a regular bus route from and to Sheffield/Manchester.
