Job Description - Mechanical Apprentice - 1st Year (262083) UGL has an opportunity for a Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical (1st, 2nd and 3rd year apprentices accepted) to join the team based at our facility in Townsville, QLD.
This role will be offered on a full-time basis working day shift (Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm with 13 RDO's per year) and paid under the UGL Townsville Enterprise Agreement.
This role will see you completing TAFE and on-the-job training at Townsville.
We are looking for applications from candidates willing to be committed to completing their certificate III for the duration of the apprenticeship.
Post-apprenticeship, there are long-term trade opportunities on site with UGL that could see you develop into many different career paths such as Planning, Technical Support, Supervision, and Production Management.
Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship - Certificate III Engineering Responsibilities Include: Examine and evaluate drawings and specifications for job requirements.Operate and adjust metalworking machines and create parts or tools.Fit and assemble metal parts, tools, or sub-assemblies (including brazing or welding parts, repair or replace faulty parts).Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, or CNC machines.Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.Application Submission Instructions Please submit all of the following documents for your application to be considered:
