The RoleWe are currently seeking a mechanic to focus on both vehicles, vessels and other machinery, who will also assist in generalist maintenance and grounds-work in our stunning Seven Spirit Bay Lodge on the Coburg Peninsula. This role requires you to deliver servicing and maintenance for our premium Outback Spirit service fleet vehicles, vessels, and equipment. You may also be required to assist with maintaining the buildings and grounds to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and employees.
Key responsibilities include:
Priorities repairs and maintenance in conjunction with the manager to ensure all fleet and vessels can carry out their tour schedule Carry preventive maintenance servicing and breakdown repairs for all items of our fleet, vessels, and property maintenance equipment, in a manner that does not disturb guests Ensure regular maintenance of prime power generators is carried out when required to ensure the lodge always has reliable power Utilise the most efficient and cost-effective means to ensure maintenance requirements are met Ensure the quality of work undertaken complies with defined procedures and delivers outcomes consistent with the business plan objectives Ensure correct interpretation & compliance with relevant legislation, OST and Journey Beyond policies To be successful in this position you must have proven experience as a mechanic, with a strong attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise, and have exceptional communication with strong customer skills.
