What you'll do Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications and company standards, including carrying out minor repairs and preventative maintenance checks on fleet vehicles (e.g. replacing fluids, changing oil/air filter, tyres, brakes, fitting ski racks etc.) including cars, trucks and company fleet. Monitor inventory and request the order of new parts from Service Administrator. Assemble mechanical components according to specifications. Perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems. Provide assistance to Trade Assistant when required. Complete Repair Orders and provide breakdown assistance when necessary. Preparing vehicles for hand back and sales. Testing and general servicing of workshop equipment for safety. Keeping accurate and on-time job records and recording servicing history in applicable systems. Conducting work in a safe manner, complying with Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental policies, procedures and being familiar with emergency evacuation procedures to eliminate or minimise workplace health and safety risks. Trade qualification in Motor Mechanics (min. Cert III Light Vehicle Mechanic) with previous experience working as a motor mechanic (working experience within the car rental industry would be advantageous). Experience with both petrol and diesel motors. A customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable approach to work each day. Ability to manage multiple tasks across multiple sites with a high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Good communications skills (written and verbal) with knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety legislation relevant to the role.
