About the Role
The Mechanic services, repairs and maintains motor vehicles in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. It is the responsibility of the Mechanic to ensure company standards within all appropriate laws and regulations are maintained.
What you'll do
Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications and company standards, including carrying out minor repairs and preventative maintenance checks on fleet vehicles (e.g. replacing fluids, changing oil/air filter, tyres, brakes, fitting ski racks etc.) including cars, trucks and company fleet.
Monitor inventory and request the order of new parts from Service Administrator.
Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
Perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
Provide assistance to Trade Assistant when required.
Complete Repair Orders.
Provide breakdown assistance when necessary.
Prepare vehicles for handback and sales.
Test and service workshop equipment for safety.
Keep accurate and on-time job records and record servicing history in applicable systems.
Conduct work in a safe manner, complying with Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental policies, procedures and being familiar with emergency evacuation procedures to eliminate or minimise workplace health and safety risks.
Adhere to Company Quality Assurance and Uniform Guidelines.
Attend company/manufacturer training as necessary.
Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplish organisational goals under limited supervision.
Drive vehicles as required.
Other reasonable duties as requested by the Service Manager.
What we're looking for
Full drivers' license (including manual vehicles).
Trade qualification in Motor Mechanics.
A customer-focused, collaborative and adaptable approach to work each day.
Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
