Our client is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join their team on a casual basis with ongoing full time hours as a mechanic.
Immediate start available, we have multiple positions available in Bendigo, Victoria.
About the Role: In this role you will maintain the City's plant, fleet and equipment by providing a consistently high-quality standard of automotive repairs and maintenance.
To be successful for the role you must be fit and healthy and be able to work on your feet for long durations, combined with the ability to provide excellent customer service, while demonstrating the ability to diagnose, service and maintain diesel plant and equipment and heavy & light fleet.
You must also have/pass a satisfactory police check.
What You Will Do: Accurately diagnose, service, repair and maintain Heavy & Light/small diesel plant and equipment, and Heavy & Light Fleet in the workshop or in the field.
Inspect and report any defects of plant and ensure servicing, repairs and maintenance provided is to the manufacturer's specifications whilst maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Perform inventory checks and order stock materials.
Ensure strong and positive communication.
Key Requirements: Degree or Diploma qualification or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills and experience applicable to mechanic with heavy diesel equipment and associated works.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in relevant trade practices and technology in the repair and maintenance of a large and varied fleet.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and identify faults of a complex or technical nature not previously encountered with the ability to provide solutions.
Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service along with the ability to gain cooperation and assistance from internal customers.
Sound communication skills and a proven ability to maintain both written and electronic records.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a cooperative and effective team member.
Be fit and healthy (be able to work on your feet all day and pass a police check).
