Our Vision is of a brighter future, a prosperous and cohesive community.The OpportunityWe seek a Mechanic who is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the Council's vehicles, plant, machinery, and equipment in a safe working condition.
Under the general direction of the senior mechanic, ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules.Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all plant, vehicle equipment, and tools are maintained in a safe and operational manner, including tires, as per specification and WHS regulations, repair and maintain a wide range of Council plant, machinery, and equipment including the specialist C-Bus system for the road sweeper, and maintain accurate daily work records and report issues including necessary repairs to Supervisor in a timely manner.What will you get from joining the team?Attractive salary of $75,386.24 p/a plus superannuation plus District allowance—$2611 w/dependents, $1498 w/o dependents on pro-rata basis.6 weeks annual leave with additional generous leave entitlements including 3 weeks personal leave on pro-rata basis.Supportive and collaborative work environment with a focus on work-life balance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
