BA Equipment Group was established in Brisbane & Perth in 2012. Our mission is to provide outstanding customer service to our hydraulic attachment customers in the civil, construction, demolition, quarrying and mining industries. From our Service Centres located in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, our highly motivated team maintain first-class sales, service and hire support.
Your focus will be providing mechanical and hydraulic expertise to support the team both in the workshop and onsite. Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will be an integral part of the team, facing the client in many situations.
The desired candidate will have relevant experience and a proven track record in delivering successful outcomes. Your mechanical aptitude and hydraulic skills will allow you to become an integral part of the team in a multifaceted business.
Job tasks and responsibilitiesPre-deliver new equipment. Strip, assess and report on equipment repairs in accordance with manufacturer's manuals and drawings, conduct work in a timely manner to support the sales and service activities of the branch.Carry out hydraulic installation of attachments on mobile and fixed plant equipment and accurately carry out flow and pressure checks using a flow meter & other diagnostic tools during installation to ensure that the attachment works as designed.Read, understand and work accurately from General Assembly and Specific Engineered Drawings (Mechanical and Hydraulic).Assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting and assessment/diagnosis of equipment provided to BA Equipment Group for service and repair.At short notice, be willing to travel and work onsite for short periods of time as required for equipment installation and servicing.Skills and experienceRelevant Mechanical Engineering TradeProven recent hydraulic industry knowledgeAbility to record and process documents dailyFamiliar with construction, quarry & mine site environments for fixed and mobile plant maintenanceConfident to liaise with clients and suppliersPhysically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and DASA proficient and motivated work ethicC class manual drivers license and Forklift licence are essentialDogging and Rigging qualifications are desirableSafety conscious attitude, understanding all aspects of WHS site conditions.
