We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical/ Electrician Technician to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in automotive mechanics, a passion for working on various vehicle systems, and are looking for a collaborative work environment, this could be the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid top-ups, and engine tune-ups.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, steering columns, and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues in vehicles, including battery systems, alternators, and starters.
• Dismantle and reassemble mechanical assemblies to perform repairs.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform brake and suspension system repairs and replacements.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix electronic and electrical faults.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring and lighting systems.
• Repair and replace defective electrical parts, such as sensors and control units.
• Perform electrical safety inspections to ensure proper vehicle function.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as both an Automotive Mechanic and Automotive Electrician.
• Strong expertise in mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license is required.
Desirable Experience:
• Experience working with diverse vehicle makes and models, including European vehicles such as Mercedes Benz and Subaru.
• Previous experience working in family-owned workshops or dealerships.
• Familiarity with Australian vehicle safety and compliance standards is a plus.
