We do more than collect the bin from your street; we also:

Divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost
Manufacture customised waste management equipment
Asbestos removal
Refine and recycle oil
Manage and maintain our fleet in-house

ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a JJ's Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an integral role within our workshop team in our Somerton depot. You will report to the Workshop Manager and will be conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
Exceptional eye for detail
Ability to complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
HR and forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
Good mechanical aptitude
A professional and outcome focus
The ability to work well individually and as part of a team
A desire to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement
Dedication and reliability as we are an essential services industry
Ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders
Commitment to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
Light Vehicle Qualified or 3rd/4th year Heavy Vehicle Apprentice candidates encouraged to apply!
