ABOUT THIS ROLEAs a JJ's Workshop Manager / HV Mechanic, you will play an integral role within our workshop team across our depot locations in Melbourne.This role is newly created to offer additional support to our workshop teams in Melbourne - you will travel between sites in Dandenong,Derrimut and Somerton - work 'hands-on', manage workshop operations to cover leave, complete internal audits, mentor, train and develop employeesand offer process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a culture of safety firstInteract with a diverse team; including mechanics, apprentices and sub-contractorsMotivate and continually develop the team, including hands-on practical involvement in the day-to-day workshop operationsEnsure the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with JJ's Waste Fleet Management Standards with an emphasis on safetyComply with the Company's processes, policies and proceduresMaintain contact with regional and national fleet management and interaction with suppliers and contractorsManage the service delivery and meet individual contracts requirementsWork closely with the Managers/Leadership to improve performance and continually increase fleet productivityDevelop effective working relationships with driversABOUT YOUHave trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial VehiclesDemonstrate an exceptional eye for detailHave a HR LicenceHave a good mechanical aptitudeDemonstrate a professional and outcome focusWork well individually and as part of a teamWant to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvementBe dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industryDemonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholdersBe dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer serviceComplete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testingBENEFITSWe appreciate there is more to life than work; we provide a variety of work options to ensure the job gets done;with competitive remuneration and a range of benefits, regardless of your role or location including:
