The Opportunity Veolia has openings for experienced Diesel Mechanics, along with Mechanical Trade Assistants and anyone with a Mechanical trade who is wanting to be upskilled.
Working in a close-knit, motivated team in Welshpool, you will service, maintain and repair our modern heavy vehicle fleet to ensure that all vehicles work to maximum efficiency in a safe, environmentally sound manner in line with regulatory and Veolia standards.
What's on offer All mechanical trades are encouraged to apply - light vehicle, plant and electrical will be upskilled $56 per hour base.
Afternoon shift 12:30PM-9:00PM Monday - Friday.
Variety in daily work, opportunity to upskill and exposure to new equipment Career development if seeking leadership roles in the future What you'll be responsible for To service maintain and repair plant, equipment and fleet vehicles in a timely manner Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor in an efficient and timely manner Complete work orders and part requisitions daily and in full Record, monitor stock and part levels and advise any discrepancies Drive Veolia's 'Always Safe' safety culture What you'll need to be successful Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification HR truck licence or be willing to obtain upon employment A willingness to learn and upskill Proven mechanical knowledge and experience Integrity and a positive attitude Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management Motivation to learn and grow within a team environment Respectful and a team player A Veolia Career Veolia values employees and their health and wellbeing.
