About the Role We areseeking an experiencedFinancial Manager / Company Accountant to take responsibility for the management of our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will be integral in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely management of all financial activities across the business.

Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting functions within the business Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Provide accurate and timely financial reports on a daily / weekly / monthly basis Quarterly BAS preparation and lodgment for multiple entities Payroll tax, superannuation payments, fuel excise and other statutory obligations Prepare and manage cash flow, budget and forecasting functions on a daily / weekly / monthly basis Manage/oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation Oversee the payroll and asset management functions for the business Reconcile company bank accounts and credit cards on a regular basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Provide guidance on a variety of financial and accounting functions Liaise with external Accountants Ensure compliance with statutory law, finance and tax regulations Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller role within a business environment Sound accounting and business taxation knowledge Formal qualifications advantageous – Accounting, Business, Business Administration Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders Demonstrated ability to interpret Industrial Awards, and provide accurate advice when required Experience in managing a finance team Proficiency in MYOB and Xero Experience with SimPRO or similar project management software Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Excel, Word & Teams) and Adobe/PDF X-Change Editor High attention to detail, excellent record-keeping and strong organisational skills Excellent planning and time management skills Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and trust Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision A strong understanding of accounting procedures, including taxation and legal requirements Punctuality and reliability Current and valid NT Driver's License Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Company Accountant?
