We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Measurement Specialist to join us in our Engineering and Planning team in Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane on a Full Time 15 month Fixed term Basis.
Reporting to the Team Lead Process Measurement and Process Control, you will play a key role in supporting the operation of gas measurement systems as per the APA Operations Mandate, to ensure accurate and reliable delivery of data to various business systems.
Key Responsibilities Enhance the APA measurement framework by integrating relevant engineering standards and policies.Ensure reliable operation of measurement systems in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.Offer assistance to the Operations and Maintenance teams regarding measurement-related issues.Support Emissions Reporting and related data tools, including NGERS reporting.Work with project teams and operational staff to resolve measurement issues, enhance skills, and implement solutions.Your background Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field) or trade qualified with demonstrated extensive experience in the operation and support of gas measurement systems.Proven experience in frontline operational support roles.Familiarity with safety management and change management processes.Proven Experience with gas metering technologies, including flow meters, analysers, and SCADA systems.
Knowledge of data management systems highly regarded.Proven to be proficient in Microsoft Office and proprietary metering software applications.About the Team The Process Controls and Measurement team is part of the broader Engineering and Planning team within the Operations Business Unit.
We are a dynamic and fast-paced team on the engineering front line for gas measurement systems responsible for providing technical support enabling reliable and optimal operation of APA's gas measurement assets and data management systems.
We deliver a range of services from diagnosing issues and supporting solutions, monitoring asset performance using system analysis tools, working with stakeholders across APA to ensure accurate measurement information is available to support various business functions.
