We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Design Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a senior member of our enthusiastic, established and successful team based in our Brisbane office.
You will be an integral part of the business and wider design and estimating team, liaising with and managing clients and key stakeholders whilst working alongside the project management teams until the end of a project.
As a Design Manager at Mc Nab you will be expected to: Plan and program the design process effectively to ensure all stakeholders act in a timely manner.
Identify, coordinate and drive consultants to complete detailed design and documentation within specified timeframes.
Challenge consultants appropriately and act with flexibility and curiosity to come up with effective design solutions and find efficiencies in design.
Identify and recommend cost effective construction strategies and methodologies, incorporating them into the design.
Ensure compliance and contractual obligations are met throughout the process and within design.
Manage client relationships with integrity and fairness, influencing the outcomes you need to ensure effective design.
About you You will have a passion for design with a commercial mind and have an opportunity to influence the business moving forward.
You will also have: Tertiary qualifications in Design or Construction coupled with extensive experience in a Design Management role.
A strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost efficiencies through design.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
An ability to identify and manage risk.
Develop and maintain strong relationships.
