With our workshop based at Yatala, this role suits candidates from Brisbane and the Gold Coast who are willing and able to travel across SEQ.
As a leader within the Electrorig business you will have access to and be supported by our McNab General Manager, HR & HSE Business Partners and Finance team.
About the role: Lead and participate in rigging activities, including the prep, installation, maintenance, repair and dismantling of hoists (CMAX, YHX & Anka) as well as the installation and removal of crane decks. Manage and coordinate multiple crews including riggers, electricians, and a boilermaker to execute safe and effective rigging/electrical operations on different sites between Coolangatta and the Sunshine Coast. Build and nurture a resilient and high performing team by providing guidance and training to staff, ensuring they are well versed in best practices and safety procedures. Ensure equipment is inspected, serviced, and maintained regularly as per guidelines, including checks, repairs, cleaning, and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation, maintenance, repair or dismantle with the support of our Operations Manager. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations while quickly resolving any issues that arise ensuring the highest quality of customer service. What we are looking for: Intermediate or Advanced Riggers Ticket MR/HR license Construction White Card Experience within the Hoist (and or Crane) industry is ideal A strong knowledge of hoist rigging techniques, regulations, industry standards and mechanical aptitude will be essential to this role! Demonstrated experience in a management role and ability to lead, manage and upskill a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and resilience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. In return: Permanent position with security and stability.
