We deliver in-home aged and disability care services, including household help, personal care, respite, shopping, allied therapies, nursing, transport, social and community access, home modifications and maintenance.Through our programs and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, we support thousands of Australians to remain living safely and independently in their home and the local community.About the roleThere are ongoing opportunities for Part-Time Community Support Workers to join our Maitland Community Care Services Support team.Our workers support clients in their homes throughout the Scone / Muswellbrook area, providing support with practical activities including (but not limited to):Assistance with personal careSocial supportShoppingMeal preparationLight houseworkMedication assistanceTransportWelfare ChecksRespiteAll are aimed at helping our clients to remain living their best life independently in their own home.About youWe are looking for passionate and caring individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of our clients (older people).You must also have:Cert III in aged care or other aged care qualification and/or equivalent experience.A First Aid Certificate (or will obtain)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomouslyNSW Driver LicenceA current, reliable, well-presented vehicle with comprehensive insurance coverCurrent Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or will obtain)ADSSI strongly encourages all employees to stay current with COVID-19 vaccinations as recommended by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI), the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, or NSW Health.Evidence of protection against Diphtheria, Measles, Hepatitis B, Pertussis, Mumps, Varicella, Tetanus, Rubella, Tuberculosis (Influenza is recommended)Why work with ADSSI?Competitive hourly rate + paid travel time + paid kilometres (0.92 / kilometre).Paid bonus schemes, e.g. $500 for referring a friend (conditions apply).Continuous learning and development opportunities to build a personalised career pathway.Employees are also provided with a mobile phone, a uniform, PPE, access to flexible working conditions, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and a paid ADSSI day each year.We support diversity and inclusion in all our workplaces.
