The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior lawyer to join our highly successful Insurance Division on a full-time basis. Based in Brisbane, the successful candidate will enjoy working on high value matters for premium insurer clients in a team that is recognised within the industry for delivering high quality advice and outstanding service to clients across a diverse range of sectors including:
Public liability - Personal Injury & Property Product liability Indemnity The key purpose in this role will be to offer a broad range of personal injury and general insurance services to a wide network of clients. You will be required to have a demonstrated and sound knowledge of the industry, with the ability to run matters through to completion. As a senior member of the team, you will be experienced in, and comfortable leading and mentoring junior lawyers.
Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will have:
A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current Queensland practising certificate Minimum 2 years' post admission experience in general insurance matters, including liability claims Experience in personal injury proceedings in Queensland A passion for and experience in mentoring and supervising junior lawyers Ability to communicate effectively with experts in multiple fields High degree of initiative, dedication and organisation ability with a strong client and commercial focus A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively What We Offer In return, McCabes will provide you with the opportunity to work with a talented team in a flexible, inclusive, and innovative environment.
