Seeking a Management Accountant for a fixed-term contract with a government subsidiary based in Seaford, located south of Adelaide.
World class integrated waste and recycling facility McArthur is working with a local Government subsidiary located in the South of Adelaide whose core business is the management of integrated waste and recycling facilities. This business partners with industry experts and pride themselves in employing innovative resource recovery solutions to support the circular economy.
We are currently seeking applications from experienced Management Accountants to help support them across the first half of 2025.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, you will assist the Corporate Services Team in the delivery of high quality, relevant and accurate financial information, and reporting services. You will provide these services in an accurate and timely manner whilst complying with organisational policies and procedures, accounting standards and legislative requirements. You will also provide accounting guidance and advice to SRWRA team members and key business partners when required. This is a hands-on role working alongside the Finance Officer.
Duties include but are not limited to: Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget and forecasts for each cost centre Providing analysis, commentary, and dashboards to support management reporting Preparation of cashflow forecasts and assistance with investment analysis Play a lead role in regular budget reviews and compiling the annual budget with senior management Analysing trends and financial performance across 3 partner businesses Month-end accounting including completion of monthly accruals, journals, fixed asset, and depreciation schedules Preparation of BAS, IAS and TPAR returns Assisting in the preparation of year end statutory accounts What's on offer: Challenging and rewarding role with a small, energetic & friendly team Free onsite parking and flexible work arrangements Salary packaging and employee health program Ongoing training and development The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, ideally with CA/CPA accreditation.
