You can expect to work exclusively within the Western suburbs of Melbourne, delivering tailored support services and assistance to students who may experience barriers to their participation in traditional education settings.
The duties of the role may include, but are not limited to:
Supporting a student's learning by providing clear and accurate notes as a record of lectures and tutorials.Reading text to a student and typing or otherwise recording answers to specific questions as dictated by the student.Providing in class support such as mobility assistance, explaining and repeating concepts, assisting with experimental work in labs.Encouraging appropriate communication between academic staff and the student.Adapting notes or resource materials to meet individual student needs while adhering to guidelines and plans in place.About You: You have undertaken tertiary education studies and are familiar with tertiary education environments.You have excellent fluency and comprehension of English, both written and verbal.You have a well-developed ability to multi-task and process multiple sources of information whilst accurately recording.You have strong attention to detail, great organisational skills and excellent time management.You have access to a laptop and are proficient in the use of relevant office-based software (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc)You are committed to supporting the learning journeys of those who may face barriers in education.You hold an Employee Working With Children Check or VIT Registration.About Us: McArthur is a market leader in professional Support Work staffing solutions.
