Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a critical multi-functional executive role with key leadership responsibility for directing and delivering high quality, low effort, cost effective customer, planning and regulatory services to strengthen customer experience, liveability and sustainable development.
Key to the role will be your ability to lead diverse teams providing high quality external services to customers and the community across customer service, regulatory services, development services, biosecurity and environmental health while providing high level strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Elected Members.
We're looking for a dynamic, energetic and values based professional, bringing a proven track record of senior leadership in a customer experience or service-based environment. While Local Government experience would be highly regarded, experience gained in a complex regulatory environment would also be considered.
As a collaborator, you bring the ability to build strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders within Council, business and the community. The business unit will undergo a significant business transformation journey so demonstrated experience leading internal change programs is essential as is your demonstrated humanistic and achievement orientated approach to leadership.
Fundamentally, you'll have demonstrable aptitude to develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures along with the ability to read and understand various Acts and Legislations applicable to this role. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business or a related field will be essential.
