Ozbek Transport Pty Ltd MC Truck Drivers (ANZSCO: 733111) Full-time/Permanent $79,000 - $90,000 ( higher salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: Drive multiple combination trucks such as B-double, Double roadtrain and AB triple.
Work in remote locations and drive long distances, two or more nights out if required.
Operate MC trucks in WA, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states.
Transport hazardous materials.
Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain working operations, record any defects they find.
Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
Load and unload cargo.
Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
Position blocks and straps and chains around items to restrain load for transport.
Maintain radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
Maintain a logbook according to commercial driver fatigue management and complete other documentation such as delivery information, miles driven and fuel expenses.
Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road or during work time.
Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
Keep the truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order with exceptional work ethics, reliability and punctuality.
Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking according to main roads guidelines for MC trucks.
Take special precautions while driving.
Qualifications and Experience: AQF certificate II or III.
Valid Australian MC truck licence Minimum of 1 year recent heavy/multi-combination driving experience Basic mechanical knowledge will be highly regarded Dangerous goods licence Demonstrate sound geographic knowledge – Perth and WA Be highly reliable with a first-class approach to safety and customer service, good communication skills Fatigue Management Certificate Able to pass a drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical MSIC Card desirable Load restraint certificate Dogs and chain experience
