WestCoast Plant Hire Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated company supplying high quality plant and skilled operators to the mining and construction sectors. Due to continual company growth, we are seeking MC Truck Drivers, with side tipper experience, to join our team in various locations in WA.
Please note: these positions are all DIDO ex-Perth only on a 4/2 or 6/2 or 13/8 roster. Duties and Responsibilities Transport and deliver materials to various projects/intended destination in a safe and timely manner (as directed)Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle as per the road safety rules and regulationsKeep company truck clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is road compliantConduct pre-starts on trucksInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance (including greasing)Hook/unhook trailers and dollies when necessaryChange tyres when requiredKeep accurate records of deliveries and pickups, ensure dockets are completed accurately and send to the office for authorisationComplete all paperwork to company and client standardsEnsure contents are properly secured in a truck to prevent damage/injuryFollow all OH&S regulations and furthering the safety culture by ensuring strict adherence to road rules and transport legislationDrive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following the instruction providedAdhering to strict fatigue and safety proceduresCommunicate with the office by phone to update them of issues or concerns relating to the day's runTreat client and site staff with respect and ensure you provide outstanding customer service Essential criteria Unlimited Australian Work Rights (no sponsorship will be offered)
MC Driving License with minimum 2 Years' experience in truck driving
Minimum 2 years of experience in driving Road Trains in WA
Previous Experience in Bulk Haulage is a must
Ability to pass pre-employment medical, Commercial Drivers Medical, and D&A
Online Fatigue Certificate (no more than 2 years old)
Well-presented and excellent communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards
Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
Ability to work well within a small team environment
Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills together with interpersonal skills.
Drivers with various construction site inductions and current Commercial Drivers Medical will be highly regarded.
