Description: Key Responsibilities: Navigate routes, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the road trains through varying terrains and weather conditions.Ensure all freight is transported safely and on time - monitor cargo loads, perform pre-trip inspections and manage schedules to meet delivery deadlines while keeping freight secure and undamaged.Stay informed on relevant laws, including weight limits, route restrictions and compliance with local regulations to uphold operational integrity.Regularly inspect and clean the cab and cargo area, ensuring that proper safety equipment is available and in good condition.Perform routine checks on the truck's mechanical and safety features, including brakes, lights and tyres, reporting any issues promptly.Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, such as delivery receipts, logbooks and compliance reports, to ensure accountability and traceability.Leverage GPS and other communication tools to stay updated on traffic conditions, route changes and emergencies that may arise.Participate in training sessions and workshops.About You: Current MC Drivers Licence: Must have a valid multi-combination Drivers Licence allowing operation of heavy vehicles with multiple trailers.Refrigeration and General Freight experience: Familiarity with transporting temperature-sensitive goods as well as general freight, ensuring compliance with all handling procedures.Accident-Free: A history of accident-free driving, showcasing responsibility and dedication to safety protocols on the road.Understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including load limitations and route planning for optimal efficiency.Knowledge of fatigue management regulations to ensure driver well-being, including proper rest periods and monitoring driving hours.Hands-on experience is essential for navigating and manoeuvring large combinations safely across various terrain.Hold a current forklift licence.What We Offer: Permanent/full-time position with overtime + a range of allowances!Highly competitive rates plus penalties plus comprehensive incentives and benefits that reward our drivers!Weekly pay and paid living allowances!Modern, well-maintained trucks equipped with the latest technology for comfort and safety!Work for a fast-growing company offering excellent training, progression & support.Great team in a supportive environment (team bonding events, BBQs & family days).Are you ready to take the next step in your career?
