The Role: The program is established through the Better at Home initiative and MBPH is committed to improving and expanding home delivered care. aims to provide an alternative to being admitted to or remaining in hospital and the opportunity to recover and rehabilitate within the client's own home.
The dedicated Occupational Therapist will be accountable for providing high quality occupational therapy services, within a multidisciplinary nursing and allied health team contributing to the overall case management of clients within MBPH's community programs, including:
Transition Care Program Rehabilitation in the Home This position is remunerated in line with the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement. Specific classification is dependent on relevant experience.
To be eligible for this role you must meet the following criteria: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) Demonstrated knowledge, skills and appropriate experience as a senior OT clinician: Determine the occupational roles, performance and functional level of individuals Assess the occupational environment Establish therapeutic goals and appropriate intervention Prescribe equipment and modifications that will enhance function or safety Plan safe discharge A valid Working with Children Check and a National Police Check (undertaken in the last three months) are required.
