Mattress Builder/Tape Edge Operator

A full-time role within an industry leader.
Suitable for experienced mattress builders or tape edge operators to manufacture high-quality bedding products.
Requires:Experience in operating a mattress tape edge machine, current work rights for Australia Salary guide: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, made up of $26.5 hourly rate + piece bonusses Location: Western Sydney Suburbs Your normal day will involve:   Operating a mattress tape edge machine.
Ensuring the quality of manufactured products.
Meeting production targets and deadlines.
Collaborating with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Continuously improving and developing skills.
You could be in charge of a large 13 needle Atlanta sewing machine where you would customise the foam, fabric and patterns that would create different mattress tops.
You could build mattresses from choosing the right spring units to padding them up and building the top and bottom of the mattress, as well as sew and do the tape edge on the mattresses.
You may even like to move on to building bed frames and bases using timber and steel.
This means operating pneumatic power tools as well as regularly used hand tools.
