Covenant Christian School is seeking applications from suitably qualified Mathematics Teachers looking to provide faculty leadership and deliver high-quality teaching to Year 7-12 students. You will safeguard a distinctly Christian education where a biblical worldview permeates teaching and learning practices and ensures a strong focus on academic rigour. ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for implementing the Vision and Mission of Covenant Christian School within the classroom.You will coordinate programs of work across this KLA area, relating these to classroom activities and ensuring preparation of syllabus content within the context of NESA requirements and the school's teaching and learning framework.You will deliver curriculum content from a Christian perspective and in an age-appropriate manner that encourages students to think biblically about this relevant area of study.You will implement a child safe culture that promotes positive wellbeing for students and implements the school's discipline and welfare programs.You will ensure a strong Parent Partnership presence that supports our community on both a day-to-day level as well as in school events and programs.Core ResponsibilitiesCoordination of programs of work across your KLA area relating to classroom activities.Leadership of the development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning programs.Significant involvement in collaborative planning, professional learning and induction, mentoring and development of KLA teachers.Development of your staff team to ensure delivery of quality teaching to your students.Provide an effective climate of learning that fosters academic achievement.Establish and maintain a child safe and positive classroom culture.General ResponsibilitiesEnsure a biblical worldview shapes your leadership and teaching practices.Work in collaboration with Learning Support and Extension and Enrichment staff.Participate in and lead Professional Learning activities.Report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of students to the HoSS.Lead student assemblies and school events.Communicate directly with class parents when appropriate.Key RequirementsCommitted Christian of a reformed evangelical persuasion.Able and willing to sincerely affirm the School's Statement of Belief.Genuine passion for, and capabilities in, Christian Education.NESA accredited to teach in NSW and suitably qualified as a Secondary School Mathematics Teacher.Ability to work and contribute to a team.Competent in the use of technology as it relates to education programs.Good interpersonal and communicative skills.Able to provide a valid Working with Children Check.Employment DetailsTo Commence Friday 17 January 2025 (New Staff Induction Day)POR2 under the Christian Schools NSW (Teachers) Multi-Enterprise Agreement (latest version)#J-18808-Ljbffr
