The Opportunity We are seeking vibrant positive individuals to provide a comprehensive and high-level administrative service to customers both internal and external for the Maternal and Child Health team within Melton City Council. You must be enthusiastic, able to work independently and in a team environment as well as have the ability to handle a high volume of inbound calls.
The positions require persons with highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and a capacity to relate effectively to a diverse range of families, communities, and professionals in a constantly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities Undertake all required administrative tasks associated with supporting the Maternal and Child Health Service.Maintain systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Maternal and Child Health Service and where appropriate develop and initiate new systems.Work with the Maternal and Child Health Leadership Team in the rostering of staff.Organise nurses' daily calendars and implement procedures to ensure calendars run efficiently.Deliver a high-quality customer service standard as per the Melton City Council Customer Service Charter.Work cohesively and respectfully within the MCH Team.To view the Position Description, click here .
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following: Post-secondary qualification in administration or Community Services (below diploma level) plus some experience in an administrative role; or relevant experience working in a community service environment.Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service Substantial experience in maintaining administrative systems and word processing.Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of administrative support.Ability to manage time, establish priorities and organise workload. Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.Culture and Values Our vision for our community is to be: "A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means there's a place here for you too. Our organisational values represent us as an established growth Council and the values are reflected in everything we do; our decision-making, our actions and our service provision to the community.
