Add expected salary to your profile for insightsSRG Global Asset Care has a career opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer at our Canning Vale, WA office.The successful candidate will work as part of a progressive, close-knit, and highly experienced mechanical engineering, materials team.
They will be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work environments and offered various career development opportunities to build on their current skillset.Key Responsibilities:Developing and maintaining client and intercompany relationships.Planning and undertaking comprehensive mechanical work including equipment inspections, understanding the design and functionality of parts under investigation, in-depth failure analysis applying mechanical principles, and general engineering consultancy to the mining, power, oil & gas, transport, water, and process industries, both in the lab and in the field.Supporting the wider team in laboratory and field-based work.Carrying out engineering calculations using textbooks, handbooks, applicable Australian and international standards, and product catalogues for engineering investigation.
Proficiently reading engineering drawings.Providing clients with quotations/prices for routine and specialist work and preparing invoices at appropriate stages of work in progress, including assistance in the preparation of tenders for major project/contract work.The successful applicant will ideally have:A Bachelor of Engineering or Science (majoring in mechanical engineering).5+ years of industrial failure analysis and mechanical plant engineering experience in different industries.Good understanding of working with standard practices, documentation, record keeping, compliance to published standards and regulatory requirements.Exposure to metals manufacturing practices e.g.
fabrication, machining.Demonstrated report writing skills.Demonstrated good communication skills for interaction with clients.Proficiency in using standard programs e.g.
AutoCAD, Solid Works, Mathcad etc.Experience in heavy industry desirable.About UsSRG Global is a diversified industrial services company.
