We are currently seeking a Materials Manager to join our project team delivering the Darwin Ship Lift Facility! This role will be based on our project site, in Darwin on a 15:6 roster.
You will be responsible for providing cost control technical expertise through timely monitoring, controlling, analysing and reporting of project cost & progress information with strong focus on trending, forecasting and management of change to contribute towards proactively influencing cost outcomes on the project.

Your focus will include:
Oversee the inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies to prevent shortages and minimize excess.Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.Plan and coordinate the transportation of materials to and from the construction site.Optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.Coordinate with construction teams to ensure materials are stored in appropriate locations for easy access.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand material requirements and timeline.
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.5+ years minimum experience in logistics and material management, preferably in construction projects or chemical plants.Strong knowledge of customs regulations, transportation logistics, and supply chain best practices.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
