What will your role be?
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager - Mr Black and with dotted line reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, the Materials and Production Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of materials, labour availability for bulk liquid production, and scheduling the production plan for Mr Black production.
This role ensures the reliable supply of Mr Black products through accurate planning to demand, on time ordering of materials and scheduling of 3rd party bottling operations. The role will also support the Mr Black site through the timely completion of other ad-hoc administrative tasks and reporting.
What does this role look like for you?
Manage day-to-day relationships with sites and suppliers.
Identify and implement opportunities for value creation and cost avoidance.
Manage inventory holdings based on production requirements, contractual obligations, and warehouse space.
Ensure materials are available at the right time and place for Site WG1 and Hunter bottling.
Ensure timely replenishment of ingredients to support the production plan.
Follow up on order reports and expedite orders to meet production deadlines.
Review MRP requirements and take necessary actions.
Provide regular reports and feedback to management on project progress, critical issues, and inventory status.
Perform other administrative tasks as required to maintain the Mr Black Operations.
Collect and report on data as required.
Clear all outstanding invoices (GRNI).
Ensure Production staff availability for Bulk Production as required.
What will you bring to the table?
Demonstrated experience within the FMCG industry.
Previous experience in planning, materials planning, procurement, or strategic sourcing and replenishment roles.
Familiarity and experience with planning, and replenishment systems. Preference is experience in SAP.
Demonstrated ability to work and make decisions in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Clear communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, production personnel, and other stakeholders.
Proven ability to solve and address stock outages or delivery problems promptly.
Analytical capacity and attention to detail in managing inventory and planning processes.
