JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for a Materials & Logistics Lead to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. Based in Perth CBD, this is a long-term commitment role and is available on a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs.RESPONSIBILITIESReporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will step up and into a dedicated client contract team. You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the materials and logistics team across a deployed project providing all aspects of materials management including; - expediting, logistics, shipping, materials control, inventory, warehousing and reporting. Key aspects of the role include:The direction and management of the materials and logistics activities for a specific administration and supervision of assigned materials and logistics personnel working on the project.Ensuring the competence and performance of all assigned materials and logistics personnel within their role.Managing the effective expediting, receipt, storage, movement and control of all inventory and materials to support the project.Liaising with other supply chain leads and personnel, clients, freight forwarders, customs control, supply base and marine contractors (as applicable) to ensure that all materials and equipment are marshalled and shipped in accordance with Wood procedures and client requirements.Regularly monitoring and reporting of progress of materials and logistics activities. Ensuring the team's regular update of reports/material systems with the required information to allow accurate reporting.Escalating any critical issues and risks to the Supply Chain will bring to life Wood's three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence and Profitable Growth on the project. At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities.QUALIFICATIONSYou must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.Ideally, you will hold a degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain / Logistics from a recognised institution and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have:Demonstrated experience in industry best practices in logistics and materials management, inventory management, client contract requirements and supply chain principles and techniques.Detailed knowledge of key material control and logistics concepts and principles and implementation of inventory / material processes and proceduresExperience in audit and assurance.Proficiency in the use of ERPS Systems (i.e. Maximo, Oracle, SAP)Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", skilled in the management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirementsBe a leader of people with several years of supervisory experience, capable of engendering an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energising diverse teams to adopt best practices, driving optimal performance with safety at the heart of everything we customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and your ability to identify opportunities for efficiency, process, and tool improvement to drive optimal takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.
