Our Opportunity Work Location: Christmas Creek Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples. Roster: 4D3R with a possibility to consider 8/6/4/3 ex Perth, Busselton, Karratha and Broome In this role you will support the Mechanical, Electrical and Operations team to be efficient in completing their planned tasks. The role will ensure the teams have their materials prepared for the days planned tasks as well as assisting in any prep work so the field team have maximum tool time. They will also ensure the laydown yard is managed and kept in an organised manner and assist the teams to move assets around the yard when necessary. They will also assist in the day to day returns of materials surplus to supply. They are also responsible for ensuring the ERP system (SAP) is up to date by completing regular audits and raising Master Data Notifications in SAP to rectify any discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety Coordinate weekly and shutdown logistic activities to meet operations Follow up on purchase orders and material movements with contracting partners or vendors Return excess stock and rotables from laydown back to warehouse Liaison between warehouse and maintenance teams Run material reports for weekly and shutdown to establish material availability and risk Deliver assets and materials to job sites, ensuring they are ready for the field teams to execute their tasks Attend asset management-related meetings as required and diligently execute tasks assigned during these meetings Adhere to the Fortescue Code of Conduct and Values at all times Qualifications and Experience Current WA C Class Drivers Licence (HR license would be advantageous) Minimum 3 years in a mining role with experience in material handling and familiarity with assets used at Chichester Water Management is desirable High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence Experience in mining procurement/warehouse logistics Experience in material handling and familiarity with assets used at Chichester Water Management is desirable Good communication skills and experience dealing with equipment / transport vendors Experience in SAP functionality and Microsoft suite is essential An understanding of and experience in purchasing Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook Experience loading a loader, franna and forklift is advantageous Our Commitment Fortescue is deeply committed to providing a safe culture that builds respect, fosters inclusiveness, and values diversity.
