The primary function of this role is to support the production team by allowing them to focus on their tasks by ensuring all necessary tools and materials are available in a timely manner. The proactive contribution of the Material Handler will be instrumental in contributing to an efficient, well-organised workplace.Key DutiesEnsuring material is moved between the departments within Bendpro safely and efficientlyActively supports the dispatch teamHands on production labourGeneral tube and steel processing – eg drilling, linishing, pressing etcParticipates in stocktakesOperation of machineryActively supports implementation of safety systems & upgradesDimensional and quality checks on the jobReports NCR's & corrections madeReports safety issues immediatelyChecks parts and quantities before signing off on a jobEnsures factory has neat steel storage/stock and clear walkwaysLeaves work area clean and tidy with tools back in placeLoads & Unloads trucks when requested only if inducted on the necessary equipmentAbout YouThe ideal candidate will:Have previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.Be experienced receiving and processing warehouse stock.Be able to demonstrate a proven ability to move and track materials in production safely and efficiently.Have excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.Have problem solving and decision-making abilities.Be professional with colleagues and customers.Have effective written and oral communication skills.Have excellent listening skills.Have great attention to detail and the ability to take initiative.Be willing to undergo a medical including drug and alcohol test.Have a current forklift licence.Have a current drivers licence.A dogging ticket will be highly regarded.To apply online please click the 'Apply' button below.
