About the Opportunity A 12-month Fixed Term opportunity for a Warehouse Operator to join the ASC West team in the capacity of a Material Handler.
You will perform a wide variety of warehousing functions contributing to the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) maintenance program for the Australian Defence Force, as well as other internal ASC projects.
To be successful in this role you will have at least one year of experience within warehousing and logistics, and preferably hold a valid Defence Security Clearance.
Responsibilities Accurate checking, receipt and conformance of all Warehousing deliveries; Transfer and put away of stock to ensure efficient storage of materials; Picking and issuing of stock to internal and external customers; Carry out stocktakes and cycle counts as required; Provide in-house support to facilities and production teams as required; Use of internal database to accurately maintain stock information; Maintain a high-level of housekeeping and WHS practices; Working as part of a team and regularly communicating with internal and external personnel.
About you At least 1 year of experience within a warehousing and logistics role; Previous experience working with a RF system; Valid High Risk Licence – Forklift (LF) and experience in operating a forklift; The ability to effectively communicate with internal and external staff, as well as key stakeholders; Familiarity and working knowledge of stock control databases and systems; Ability to work as part of a team; High level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strong time management skills.
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
