The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite. You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management.
This is a FIFO role working 2:1 roster based in Karratha. Major Responsibilities:Supervises material management personnel at the project jobsite location to ensure conformance to corporate, global business unit and project policies and procedures in all areas for which material management is responsible, including:the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control (manual and/or automated), and issue of materials and equipmentensures documentation to record unsatisfactory over, short, and damage conditions of material received; ensures that corrective action is expeditiously completed and that formal Unsatisfactory, Over, Short & Damaged Reports are prepared for permanent record.Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the construction equipment register.Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of Inventory Control Records (manual or automated).Prepares recommendations for facilities and equipment necessary to provide for professional material management operations at project jobsite location.Other responsibilities as designated.Education and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent degree with 2-5 year of relevant experience or 6-10 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills:Supply chain experience including warehouse, inventory and materials management experience.Working knowledge of material storage and handling equipment in a fast-paced environment with limited indoor storage.Advanced knowledge of all procurement operations related to the management of materials at area, regional, temporary and jobsite location. Advanced knowledge in Field Engineering and Construction activities, and knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures related to materials management functions.Knowledge of skills necessary to fill clerical, warehouse craft, and warehouse supervision positions.Knowledge of all Engineering disciplines, the work process and the deliverables produced.Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) or other supply chain system.Knowledge of work packaging, and materials status reporting.Prior experience in major Global, and contract management projects, which include Engineering, Procurement and materials control activities.Advances knowledge of material storage and handling materials in a fast-paced environment with limited indoor storage.Basic knowledge of Field Procuring goods and services for major projects.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
