The master position onboard is that of a manager responsible for both the safety of the crew, passengers, and vessel as well as the guest experience. The vessels are maintained to an exceptionally high standard in line with our contractual requirements. The master is responsible for both the deckhand and other host staff provided to act in a guest experience capacity. The role is responsible for the vessel record keeping using multiple systems and the training and induction of new crew to the operation.Seeking continuous improvement in all maintenance, presentation, and operational capacities in alignment with both the expectations of Hayman Island and SeaLink.About YouYou will have excellent vessel handling skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and be part of a team. To be successful in this position, you must have an approachable attitude and disposition, be prepared to speak to guests at a 5-star level, and show good experience in managing conflict and crew. As the first and last contact with guests, you will be approachable and engaging while also being technically minded and prepared to ensure the vessel is a representation of you as a master.A flexible approach to working hours is required regarding weekends and public holidays.
