This vessel operates in Cape Preston, Western Australia, and is a 24/7 operation for our customer: CITIC Pacific Mining.
Reporting to the Fleet Superintendent, the Master is in command of the ship, safety, and security of her cargo, crew, and environment.In addition, the Master will be responsible for:Implementation of the Company's policies as contained in the AVMS and other official Company instructions on matters of safety, security, operation, and environmental protection;Ensuring that commercial considerations do not take precedence over safety and environmental protection;Allocating reasonable tasks or duties to their crew for the safe and efficient operation of the ship;Making decisions with respect to the safety of the ship, the crew, passengers, and with respect to pollution prevention.Basic RequirementsAMSA Master COC/COR Unlimited (required)Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory)Technical Requirement: minimum 5 years sea time as a Chief Officer (mandatory)STCW regulation II/2MSIC Card (required)ECDIS and GMDSS (required)Certificate of Safety Training (required)Australian Citizen or hold a valid working visa without working restrictionsLiving in an Australian state (required)Pilotage Exemption Certificate for Cape Preston (desirable)If you are interested in this role, we would love to hear from you!
