Salix is an Australian owned and operated rail business engaged in the design and supply of railway products throughout Australia and multiple international markets.
Job Summary Salix is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support Salix division.
The Role Project Planning Support: Assist project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate resources and set expectations to meet project goals.Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule project meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure that all necessary stakeholders are informed and present. Coordinate timelines and deadlines with team members.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including status reports, meeting notes, and any project-related changes. Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Communication Management: Serve as the point of contact for team members and stakeholders. Ensure clear communication, relay updates, and address any inquiries related to project activities.Resource Allocation: Coordinate resources, including staff and materials, to ensure they are allocated appropriately throughout the project lifecycle.Risk and Issue Tracking: Monitor potential project risks and issues. Proactively address challenges or escalate them to the project manager for resolution.Budget Monitoring: Assist in tracking project budgets and expenses, ensuring costs stay within approved limits. Report any variances to the project manager.Quality Control: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time. Coordinate with team members to address quality issues as they arise.Task Management: Delegate tasks to appropriate team members and follow up to ensure timely completion. Track deadlines and ensure tasks align with the overall project plan.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify project objectives, and adjust project plans as needed to meet expectations.Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in relevant engineering projects with a focus on design and delivery; Rail, Civil, and Manufacturing highly desirable.Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or project management.Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects; minimum 2 years in full-time capacity.Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex issues.Understanding of project quality and standards throughout a project lifecycle.Understanding of project financials, budgeting, allowances, and margin. Ability to analyse and negotiate project financials and support to improve quality.Understanding of Coins, SAP, Salesforce, or similar programs highly desired. #J-18808-Ljbffr
