Locum Speech Therapist | Hospital & Community | Regional NSW 12 week contract working within a hospital and community in Regional Southern NSW!
Position: Locum Speech Pathologist
Location: Regional NSW
Duration: 12 weeks (ASAP start)
Pay Rate: $55 - $75 per hour + super
Travel & Accommodation: Provided FOC
MARS Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist for a 12-week contract to join our clients multidisciplinary team in Regional Southern NSW . You will provide comprehensive Speech Pathology services across a variety of clinical areas within a hospital and community settings.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services: Deliver patient/family-centered care through assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and implementation. Provide advice and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Professional Standards: Ensure care delivery is within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries, reflecting evidence-based practice. Assessment & Treatment: Diagnose and manage patients within your scope of practice. Select and implement appropriate assessment, intervention, and treatment strategies, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as needed. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring safe and timely discharge. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders, embracing cultural diversity. Documentation & Supervision: Maintain comprehensive documentation of care, including progress notes and care plans. Supervise Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students, contributing to the development of the team. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth, including mandatory training and participation in evidence-based practice activities. Qualifications & Experience: Speech Pathology Bachelor's or Masters Degree required. Current SPA registration. Proven experience in delivering speech pathology services across diverse settings. Ability to work independently and seek supervision as needed. Commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people and cultural competence. Valid Drivers license. Australian Working Rights - Working Holiday Visa's Welcome! Package: Salary + super + casual loading. Work within a collaborative MDT. 12 week contract with the potential for an extension.
