A kind and loving family in Maroubra is seeking a calm and nurturing nanny to care for their happy and energetic 4-year-old boy.
An ideal nanny would be nurturing, calm, happy, and friendly. A nanny that loves the outdoors, is open to engaging and having fun, and providing stimulating activities which will aid in the child's development.
A nanny who is reliable, responsible, respectful, and honest and can follow routines is preferred.
Experience working with children with epilepsy and/or training in speech or OT would be advantageous for this role.
The role will consist of picking the child up from daycare, taking him to an activity or to the park, then home to assist with the evening routines (play, bath, dinner & getting the child ready for bed, reading a book) and contributing to the smooth running of the household.
The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows: To care for the child - Occasionally the older 8-year-old as well Follow afternoon/evening routines, take to after school activities Play and engage with the child Preschool and afterschool care pick up Homework and reading a book Preparation of meals and snacks for the child and sometimes help with family meal prep Assist with some light household duties - Generally keeping main areas clean and tidy and putting toys away Grocery shopping and running errands (occasionally) Contract: Permanent/long term Pay: From $35-40 per hour (Depending on experience) The days and normal hours are: 2 – 4 days (Nanny's choice on days) Afternoon hours 3pm – 6pm

Potentially for more hours occasionally if the nanny is available
The family's expectations from their nanny are: 2 years experience working as a nanny or in childcare OT or Speech Therapy knowledge/training (preferred) Have a current first aid certificate and knowledge of epilepsy Have a current working with children's check number Display strong communication skills and speak English. To be fit, healthy, and active Full driver's license, confident driver, and clean driving record (own car required, kms and petrol to be reimbursed – preferred but not essential).
