Tourism WA is the WA Government agency responsible for promoting Western Australia as an incredible holiday and events destination. Our role is to inspire more people to visit WA from Australia and around the world, which is part of the broader economic development portfolio of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI).
We do this by marketing the state to the world through innovative campaigns; developing, attracting and promoting major sporting, arts, cultural and business events; working with government and the tourism industry to improve access, accommodation and tourism experiences for our visitors; and by informing and empowering the WA tourism industry through sharing key insights and global trends, building stakeholder relationships and providing leadership to the sector.
Tenure: 12-month fixed term, full time appointment, with possibility of extension/permanency.
In this role you will: Manage the prioritisation of international markets and the identification, negotiation, implementation and performance evaluation of partnerships with trade and innovative brands outside of tourism. Manage the development of relationships and commercial alliances with airline management, tourism trade, Western Australian tourism businesses, Tourism Australia, in-market media and distribution partners, and innovative brands outside of tourism. Manage the identification of product and experience needs in the international markets and, working with partners, identify potential gaps in the market or industry capability/capacity and make recommendations to the WA Partnerships and Industry team to drive visitation and yield.
