Job Summary:
With 107 years of experience, Collette Tours offers 170 guided tours across 7 continents, delivering exceptional travel experiences. As we continue to expand in Australia, we are seeking a proactive Marketing Manager to work with the team to position Collette as the tour brand of choice for Australian travel agents and travellers.
The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in driving brand growth and managing marketing activities. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position focuses on executing and coordinating campaigns while overseeing critical projects aligned with the company's business objectives. This position takes ownership of multiple initiatives, balancing individual accountability with collaborative leadership across cross-functional teams and external partners. This hybrid role offers a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration, fostering flexibility while maintaining strong teamwork and alignment.
Primary Functions:
Campaign Delivery
Build and execute marketing tactics using project management software.
Coordinate with the US team to deliver successful marketing campaigns and brochures.
Prepare reports on campaign success and insights.
Content Delivery
Develop a strategy and content schedule for communication across owned (website, blog, email, social) and earned (partners, media) channels to support strategy.
Digital Marketing
Review & optimise eDM strategy for the Australian market and audiences.
Review & optimise digital advertising activity including social media (paid & organic) with local and US team – update content calendar and review posts to maximise engagement; act as Facebook community manager.
Print Advertising
Brief advertising to meet specifications and schedule, monitoring campaign success for improvement recommendations. Brief creative (head office & locally) and manage timely dispatch of materials.
Partner Marketing & Co-Op Marketing
Oversee delivery of partner marketing materials (expo collateral, print, digital, co-op) for over 40 partners, meeting diverse schedules.
Public Relations
Work with Collette's Australian PR agency to deliver regular media coverage (trade & consumer) including two or three key events annually.
Accuracy
Ensure marketing materials comply with brand guidelines and ACCC requirements with high accuracy and on schedule.
Knowledge & Skills
5+ years of marketing experience within the travel industry, with a clear understanding travel agents and consortia and how best to support them. Ideally with some experience working with international teams.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading campaigns with internal & external partners.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess marketing performance and recommend improvements.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced user of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with WorkFront, Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional is desirable.
Digital & Social Media Management: Experience managing and optimising digital activity (owned & earned) including content for social platforms & eDM strategies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or a related field.
Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, proofing, and presentation skills with a keen eye for detail.
Flexibility: Willingness to work outside normal business hours when needed.
