The Role As the Marketing Coordinator: Content Creator and Graphic Designer, you will focus on the coordination of marketing communications strategy and activities, under the direction of the Marketing Communications Manager and regional leadership. Additionally, you will create visually compelling and engaging content across various platforms. This role focuses on bringing creativity to life through design, digital content creation, and visual storytelling for internal and external communication efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for social media trends and brand aesthetics. Additionally, you will coordinate marketing and communication related activities, general administration and provide overall support to the Marketing Department.You will work across all resort business units - Rooms, MICE, F&B, Brand - to help deliver effective marketing communications strategies to achieve Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns, business goals, priorities and impact. As a collaborative team player and natural communicator, you will build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners to facilitate campaigns.
The coordinator role will support the Marketing Communications Manager, encompassing the following responsibilities:
Develop visually engaging content for digital and print media, including social media posts, email newsletters, flyers, posters, menus, and other promotional collateralCreate and edit reels and visuals for use across various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.Scheduling and tracking of the social media calendar across all platformsCoordination of public relations and key online influencer campaignsCompile and maintain press kit information and PRMaintain Shangri-La Cairns website ensuring content updates are implemented in liaison with the regional digital teamCoordination of media activities including photo and videographer shoots and media familsWrite copy for marketing channels including web, socials, EDM and printCreate material for advertising campaigns, compendiums and brand and marketing campaignsMaintain F&B loyalty membership and media contacts databaseAd hoc reports and maintenance of marketing administrationCarry out other special projects/tasks as assigned.About You This position is well-suited for a Marketing or Media graduate or an industry-experienced individual with a keen eye for detail and social media engagement.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of platform activity, essential for navigating the challenges and rewards of this role, a creative flair, organizational skills, and must possess experience in Adobe CS, photography, videography, and graphic design expertise, which will contribute to their readiness for this dynamic position.
