HarperCollins Publishers is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our Adult Books division as Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
This exciting opportunity invites you to bring your passion for books, creativity, and organisational skills to our dynamic marcomms team.
This is a full-time position, based at our head office in Sydney's CBD.
The purpose of the role is to work with the marcomms team to deliver support across all publicity and marketing activities as required.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Providing general support to the whole marcomms team, including tasks such as book mailouts, flight and accommodation bookings, arranging author stock signings, managing social media content, and creating eye-catching POS materials.Compiling and distributing a weekly media round-up to internal stakeholders.Crafting and delivering a monthly publicity highlights email for media contacts.Managing the HarperCollins publicity inbox and maintaining an up-to-date media database.Planning and coordinating internal and external events, including book launches.Attending and, when needed, documenting relevant meetings with minutes.Representing HCP at author interviews and bookstore visits as required.Gaining hands-on experience by running your own marketing and publicity campaigns with guidance.Providing administrative support to the Head of Marketing & Communications.Taking on ad hoc duties as required.Essential skills and experience: Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Efficient, detail-oriented and proactive in managing your workload.Show initiative in your approach to your work and your support for the team.Deadline-driven – you can prioritise tasks while meeting essential deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office – a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to handle tasks efficiently and professionally.Familiarity with Adobe programs and Canva, showcasing the ability to produce visually engaging materials.Creative and innovative mindset with a flair for bringing fresh ideas to projects and procedures.Digital marketing savvy – awareness of social media trends and competence in digital marketing strategies to effectively engage diverse audiences.Being a passionate reader is a must, and an interest in Fantasy is a delightful bonus!This role is perfect for someone eager to grow within the publishing industry and take on exciting challenges.
