Role description:
This is an on-site role for 15-20 hours per week, as a Marketing Assistant at GymAware. The role involves (but is not limited to) assisting the Marketing Manager in executing our content marketing strategy and adhoc marketing administration tasks.
What will you do:
Create engaging in-house content, including product features and instructional how-to videos, and edit using beginner-friendly apps like Capcut / Canva/ iMovie.
Assist the marketing manager in planning and drafting monthly social media and email marketing content.
Monitor social channels to maintain an active, engaging presence.
Schedule social media content in a timely manner, using our content scheduling tool.
Create web-pages and blog articles via our CMS platform Wordpress.
Assist with general marketing activities as directed by the Marketing Manager.
About you:
Currently enrolled in a tertiary-level program in marketing or a closely-related field, ideally in your penultimate year.
Strong communicator with a flawless grasp on english language and grammar.
Interest in social media marketing; specifically video creation and content writing.
Previous internships experience and/ or portfolio for review.
Ability to take ownership, self-manage workflows, and demonstrate initiative in the workplace.
Drive to constantly up-skill in systems and applications used.
Although we will provide on-the-job training, you should bring a natural talent for crafting engaging videos with a phone camera in addition to a keen interest in writing engaging copy.
Highly desired but not essential:
Experience and interest in sports science, sports technology, weight training.
Previous experience using marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Wordpress, Canva, Capcut, any social media scheduling tool, google analytics.
Experience with iOS systems and Google business suite.
