About the role:  Are you a passionate, energetic individual with a flair for marketing and event coordination?
We're looking for a Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our team at the Australian Computer Society (ACS) Victorian Branch.
If you're enthusiastic about supporting impactful events, producing social media and other marketing content, engaging members, and driving operational excellence, this could be the perfect role for you!
As the Marketing and Events Coordinator , you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, marketing, and execution of events, activities, and programs for the ACS Victorian Branch.
Working closely with the VIC Branch team, you'll ensure these initiatives are highly organised, professional, and engaging, delivering valuable information and services to our members.
Key Responsibilities:  Marketing : Assisting with content creation for newsletters, social media, and membership campaigns, as well as preparing delegate materials for events.
Event Management : Coordinating all aspects of event planning and delivery, including budget management, speaker liaison, logistics, and post-event reporting.
Membership Engagement : Regularly connecting with ACS members, assisting with inquiries, updating member data, and promoting ACS membership benefits.
Administrative Support : Providing essential support for the Victorian Branch team, including managing event calendars and responding promptly to queries.
Operational Excellence : Continuously improving processes, embracing new technologies, and championing high standards in all areas of the role.
About you:  To be successful in this role it is expected you will have;  Experience in event coordination and marketing.
Preferably at a member-based organisation or within a corporate environment.
Be confident with publishing your well-developed written communication and have experience producing engaging social media content.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and to use initiative and problem-solving skills in order to organise and prioritise workloads/deadlines.
Ability to gain credibility with ICT professionals across all levels.
Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to manage client expectations.
High attention to detail and level of accuracy in all tasks.
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills, with an ability to identify problems and offer solutions, in a timely manner.
Experience and intermediate knowledge using Microsoft Office suite of programs and other software applications and managing databases including Salesforce CRM systems.
