You'll be well supported by your colleagues, as well as the broader Strategic Communications Unit which includes media and digital, web and stakeholder engagement and partnerships teams.
About The Role
The role provides client management, campaign and project support work within Strategic Communications (SC), Office of Industrial Relations (OIR).
You will help (and lead where required) develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress OIR's goals.
You will assist to develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate communications tactics for external audiences including preparing engaging written content for a variety of mediums (online, print, social), prepare a range of digital and print communication tools in line with strategic communication plans, and assist with event coordination for external stakeholders.
You will also develop promotional tools for advertising campaigns, including monitoring, and assisting with evaluation. You'll assist to develop strong and productive relationships with other OIR business units so that communication tactics are evidence-based, accurate and developed with the guidance of subject matter experts.
About The Team
SC develops and implements awareness, education and engagement strategies that make a real, positive difference to work health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation and industrial relations issues for the people of Queensland.
Your Key Responsibilities Contribute to, and lead where required, the development, implementation and evaluation of education, awareness and engagement activities and resources that deliver key messages to diverse audiences, supporting both OIR and whole of government strategic priorities and business needs. Examples could include, but are not limited to, development of short guidance films, stakeholder engagement events, web-based campaigns, reports, forms, and sponsorships.Develop and maintain working relationships with other OIR business units to deliver awareness and engagement services to them in a timely manner and secure their assistance with engagement activities as required.Support other SC team members in implementing awareness and stakeholder engagement activities.Provide accurate and timely advice to the Manager on project progress and issues that may impact on service delivery.Actively engage in a multi-disciplinary, agile team environment.Ensure work is of a professional, consistent quality, to budget and in accordance with SC standard operating procedures and governance, and Queensland Government writing and style guides. Mandatory Requirements / Special Conditions
A tertiary qualification in a marketing or communications discipline would be highly regarded and relevant professional experience is essential.
