We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill the permanent part-time position of Marketing and Communications Officer – Environment.

But enough about us, let's talk about you This dynamic and high energy position oversees marketing and communications for our bustling Environmental Engagement Team.
As part of this role, you will: Work with Strategic Communications Team and Environmental Engagement Team to help plan, develop, implement and evaluate strategic communications campaigns, including digital, to deliver on the organisational purpose and community vision in line with the Strategic Communications Framework.
Develop, deliver/oversee and evaluate new and business as usual and tactical campaigns for the Natural Environment section to deliver on the organisational purpose and community vision, instilling community pride in our place, and increasing awareness and participation in city-led, supported, and advocated projects, events, and activities; and assist in managing the reputation of the City.
Assist relevant digital channel owners to develop content plans and content in line with the digital communications strategy to build and engage with audiences to improve the City's reputation and brand.
Provide the Natural Environment section with communications and brand advice, technical support and access to tools and guidance to ensure communications are aligned to the Strategic Communications Framework and campaigns inform, motivate, and influence internal and external stakeholders.
What you will bring to the team A degree in Marketing/Communications or related area (or significant progress towards the completion of such a degree) Demonstrated environmental knowledge and/or experience Three (3) plus years' experience in a similar role Excellent interpersonal, customer service and relationship building skills Experience and knowledge of marketing and communications strategies, planning, campaign, and brand management skills Sound understanding of media issues Strong digital communications skills Experience and knowledge of marketing and communications strategies Strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

The finer details This permanent part-time (30.8 hours per week) Level Five (5) position attracts a pro-rata salary range of $87,623 to $93,338 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
